October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

| First the bad news: more than 220,000 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed this year. Then the good: there are approximately 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the United States, according to the American Cancer Society.

Understanding Eating Disorders

What is an eating disorder? It's a condition characterized by abnormal eating habits - either too much or too little food intake - that adversely affects one's physical or emotional health. The number of eating disorders has risen over the last 10 years and today affect 5 to 10 million women and approximately one million men in the United States.
