SOWER Ministry Newsletter

Servants on Wheels Ever Ready

Greetings!

Sower Group

"What's this?" you might be asking!

The SOWER Board of Trustees is doing a trial run on publishing a monthly email based Newsletter to supplement the Sowergram.

But why a newsletter? Why is it different than the Sowergram?

We think a newsletter might be a  useful tool to help our SOWER family stay connected.  We're going try to do some more detailed project "boosting" and maybe share a story or two about the blessing of being on a SOWER project.  Or maybe we'll figure out that it's just more clutter in folks' already full "in-box" and totally unnecessary. What do you think?  Good idea? Unnecessary? We'd love to hear from you either way! Just hit your reply button to send me a quick email with your thoughts!

Serving you because of HIS great love for us,

Stephanie Conrad

SOWER Ministry

PS - If at any time you don't want to continue to receive these emails, please use the "Safe Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the page.  We understand.  Sometimes those in-boxes are just too full!

Our Teen Challenge Miracle

Teen Challenge BoysWe should never be surprised at how God uses our inadequacies to totally bless those around us.  As SOA's at Teen Challenge (FL-448) we had come to love the boys that were in the program.  When 10 of them had no parents coming for a Parents' Weekend, we made arrangement to take them on an outing. Off we went to Dothan - 35 miles north - in search of a good movie and maybe dinner out.  As we went to pay for the 12 movie tickets Gary and I realized that both of us had left our wallets back at the rig in Bonifay.  Not a good thing on many levels, but at that moment all I could think about was the disappointment of those boys.  The sweet girl selling the tickets looked at us and said - "Would you like me to just mail you a bill?"  I could hardly believe my ears - a movie theater offering to "bill us" for tickets instead of collecting the money up front.  And then, just as we were getting seated, she came around with popcorn and soda for each of us - compliments of the theater.

It might not seem like a big thing - a movie and some popcorn - but to those boys it was the hand of God reaching down and saying "I love you" in a very practical way.

Do you have a favorite "Sower Blessing" that you would like to share?  We'd love to hear from you!  Contact me with your stories and ideas!

Want to help with this Newsletter project? Do you have a "God Story" to share?  Do you know about a special need at a project that doesn't get much help? We're looking for ideas and articles and volunteers to help put it together.

Send in your comments and stories and suggestions!

We're listening!

This is how to deal with God. Praise Him before you are delivered. Praise Him for what is coming. Adore Him for what He is going to do. I do not think there is a sweeter song in God's ear than the song of one who blesses Him for grace that has not yet been tasted, who blesses Him for answers that have not been received but are sure to come."

~Charles Spurgeon~
