Greetings!
Following up on our recent personnel additions we are excited to have Dr. Michael Collings join the JS team in the month of June as a Senior Publications Editor. Dr. Michael Collings has written numerous books and is a noted literary critic. We are enormously pleased to have him join our staff. Welcome Dr. Colllings. If you want to read more on Dr. Collings and his experience please see the below press release and visit our website for details.
We are also pleased to have signed some new contracts in June. Lisa Morton, Allyson Bird, Carol Weekes and a few others are now officially JS authors. Most of their work will be published in 2013 so we expect JS to continue offering some outstanding books for a very long time to come. Look for a press release next week as we highlight some of our recent additions to the JS family.
Following up on the fun we had at BEA, JournalStone attended ALA in Southern CA and had a blast. We hosted the Library Journal, 'Movers and Shakers Luncheon' and thoroughly enjoyed it. The guest speaker was William Kamkwamba who co-authored The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind. A fantastic story which is being offered as a children's book in 2012. If you don't know William's history you have to follow up on the inspiring story. It is incredible what some people can accomplish with nothing more than the will to succeed. Thanks to Benjamin Kane Ethridge for helping represent JS at the ALA event. It was a lot of fun having him attend.
Brett J. Talley's, The Void, followed up an excellent review in Publishers Weekly with an even better review in the June edition of Library Journal. If you don't have your own June Library Journal just click on the press release to the right and read the details.
June will see Jeffrey Wilson release his second novel, The Donors. It received some very positive pre-release press and should get a warm welcome. Just be careful which hospital you end up checking into if you end up ill. You might wind up donating more than you anticipated.
If you don't read our entire newsletter I would at a minimum suggest you view the bottom two posts. We are offering some free books to our valued newsletter subscribers and the only catch is .... There is no catch. You just get them for free.
Thanks everyone. We appreciate you supporting us. Now get your friends and family to sign up as well!

An evil force is at work at the Hospital where Nathan is recovering from injuries he received at the hands of his Mom's abusive ex-boyfriend. Demonic looking men with pale faces and glowing eyes lurk in the shadows. Someone is harvesting skin and organs from living donors against their will.
In his dreams, Nathan can see these demons in their true form - evil creatures who feed on the fear and hatred they create in their victims. Nathan's only ally is the Doctor who cares for him.
Together they must find a way to stop these creatures before they, and their loved ones, become the next victims.
"With its tight muscular prose and sharp dialogue, The Donors will keep you hooked from the opening page. Wilson has written a novel packed with surprises and suspense, and drawn characters whose every pang the reader feels. This is a novel full of visceral, intense moments. It will keep you holding on until the brilliant end." - Richard Godwin, author of Mr. Glamour and Apostle Rising.

SAN FRANCISCO, June 15, 2012 -The Library Journal just released its review of JS author Brett J. Talley's forthcoming novel, The Void.
The very positive review reads as follows: "Talley's second novel opens in a futuristic world where faster-than-light space travel is possible, but at a great cost. Passengers are placed in a deep sleep during travel, and consequently experience horrifying dreams that culminate in madness and murder..."

There is no marginal difference between a writer who only imagines his story and the writer who has lived too many of the experiences being documented within his pages. Only one of those authors will write something truly haunting-even if the story isn't Horror. To know the author has seen the things he writes, elevates his tale in ways that imagination alone cannot begin to mimic.
Reality is stranger than fiction...is a tire old adage, until you use it to describe the works of Jeffrey Wilson. His stories are filled with events that few brave readers could endure in their own lives.
