Summer is finally here and we are halfway through the year. Thanks to everyone who made our Second Quarter Charity volunteer events such a huge success. Now we are gearing up for our Third Quarter Charity Habitat for Humanity. This will be our second year doing a build with Habitat and we are looking forward to another exciting way to give back to our community. Please stay tuned for details of our Half Year Membership Drive and Mixer this month.  We look forward to meeting all the new and current members of CFPA. Have a great Fourth of July Holiday and stay safe.

Just like always, it's unbelievable how quick we have reached the half way mark of the year!  You all have really stepped up to the plate of getting out there to the events and making CFPA proud.  Thank you for all those who have volunteered and have expressed interest in volunteering.  I know I'm not the only one to say when we come out to volunteer it is such a great way to meet and get to know one another while serving our community.    

 

 

   

We have another volunteer opportunity coming up.  It's assisting the Habitat For Humanity at one of their build site locations.  The date will be on SATURDAY, JULY 14, 2012 FROM 8:00AM TO 2:00PM.  More details, such as the location, are to come.  Family and friends are of course welcome to volunteer too!  However, the minimum age is 16 years old.  This is a great opportunity for those students who need volunteer credit.  Please let me know any students who will be volunteering ahead of time so I may ensure they receive proper credit.

 

Adults and minors will need to fill out a waiver which will be emailed to those interested.  We only have a maximum of 20 spots so to reserve your spot let me know as soon as possible.So come on out and make CFPA proud!

I am looking forward to representing CFPA at the NALA convention along with fellow CFPA members Vice-President/President-Elect Leslie Irick, President Peonca S. Grier and incoming NALA Affiliated Associations Director Lisa Vander Weide. The annual convention will be held from July 25-28, 2012 in Omaha, Nebraska. Please contact one of us before July 24th if you have any questions or comments you want passed on to NALA at the convention.

When you open the website, or look up your CLE units, click the option on your device that saves the site to your home page. The NALA logo with a link to the web site or look up function will be on your home page for quick reference.

 

The next testing window for the Certified Paralegal Examination is September 2012.
