Greetings!
As we wrap up the first quarter of the year and welcome the anticipation of Spring, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all the members, friends, and family who came out to the Second Harvest Food Bank last Saturday. We had approximately 20 volunteers which included several new faces. It was great to work with you all while doing some good in our community. For those who could not come, please check with our volunteer coordinator for more opportunities this year to work with our quarterly charities. I know you will not regret it.
We have a great full day seminar this month to help refresh our Legal Writing skills. Also, in this month's newsletter, please check out the upcoming Certified Paralegal Exam testing center dates. CFPA is so proud to offer our members and students an opportunity save money on the CLA/CP Exam with the help of our partner ITT Tech. We had great success with our first round and several members and non members took advantage of this savings. Not only are we dedicated to our member's education, we also want you all to be healthy and release some stress, so check out the Yahoo and Facebook blasts for information regarding a great opportunity for a week of free boot camp this month. Mark your calendars to attend the March 15th Joint Social Mixer with the Orange County Judicial Assistants. Have you ever wanted to meet the JA you speak to all the time? Then come on out to our mixer, last year was a blast and we made some lasting friendships with our local Judicial Assistants. There are many things to look forward to this month and I hope to see all of you at the upcoming events. We appreciate Access Investigative Services, Inc.'s sponsorship of our newsletter this month and as a supportive Patron Member of CFPA. Certification: 10 Exam Prep Tips ....
Certification: 10 Exam Prep Tips Vicki Voisin, ACP
The key to success is in the preparation and planning. Here are my suggestions for both:
- Decide which credential you will pursue.
- Decide when you will take the examination.
- Decide how much time you will need to prepare.
- Assemble your study materials.
- Prepare your own study materials.
- Take advantage of preparation and educational opportunities offered by the credentialing organization, as well as your professional association.
- Stick to your study plan.
- Seek advice from those who have "been there, done that".

Community Service Corner ...
Second Harvest is CFPA's 1st Quarter Charity. Second Harvest relies on volunteers to make the difference they are aiming for. This is a great volunteer opportunity for all of our members to get involved in. It is a great way to meet and get to know one another while serving our community. We will be holding food drives through the year and more information as to drop off locations will be to come. The upcoming community service events will be for us to be Food Sorters at the Food Rescue Center located at 3533 Mercy Drive, Orlando, FL 32808.
Family and friends are welcome to come volunteer too! However, volunteers need to be at least 10 years of age. This is a great opportunity for those students who need volunteer credit. Please let me know any students who will be volunteering ahead of time so I may ensure they receive proper credit.
Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM (10 volunteers needed)
So MARK YOUR CALENDAR and come on out for a few hours and make CFPA proud!
If you have any questions please contact Antoinette Braga at Volunteers@cfpainc.org.
