                                                                    February 2012
Greetings!

We are in the second month of the New Year already. Time sure does fly by when your having fun! I hope that we are all getting ourselves back in the swing of "normalcy" whatever that may be for you.

It was so great to see new faces last month at the Winter Park and the Downtown networking luncheons. We had a great time networking and just getting to know each other. If you have not had a chance to attend a luncheon in your area, I highly suggest it.  These luncheons are not intimidating, we each pay for our own meals and we really enjoy the break from work and the networking opportunity.  So keep your eyes out for the blasts, check the calendar or email your nearest coordinator for details and schedule some time to attend a luncheon.   If there is not one close to you, email me and we will see if we can do something about that.  I truly learned a lot by attending these luncheons and I plan to see you at the next one!

CFPA's Online Security ...
secure-2

We have recently added a security feature to our website that makes registering & paying online SAFE !

Forms online used for Renewing Membership, Registering for CLE Seminars and CP Exam Testing and PayPal buttons provide users with online security.  You know you're secure because the pages that contain these features are RE-routed to a secure page -- note the "https" in the URL when the page loads.  Unfortunately, you may notice a few extra seconds to load pages with these features -- that's the time it takes to reroute & secure the form.

Feel free to use the forms online to REGISTER and pay with PayPal for seminars and your membership renewal.   (Due to new member processing, new member applications still require a completed, signed paper form to be mailed.)

You can always be certain that CFPA treats the security of your private information as a priority.  No personal data, email addresses or member names are ever shared or sold.

Community Service Corner ...

Second Harvest is CFPA's 1st Quarter Charity.  Second Harvest relies on volunteers to make the difference they are aiming for. This is a great volunteer opportunity for all of our members to get involved in. It is a great way to meet and get to know one another while serving our community.   We will be holding food drives through the year and more information as to drop off locations will be to come. The upcoming community service events will be for us to be Food Sorters at the Food Rescue Center located at 3533 Mercy Drive, Orlando, FL 32808.

Family and friends are welcome to come volunteer too! However, volunteers need to be at least 10 years of age. This is a great opportunity for those students who need volunteer credit. Please let me know any students who will be volunteering ahead of time so I may ensure they receive proper credit.

We will have two volunteer opportunities:

Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM (20 volunteers needed) and

Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM (10 volunteers needed)

So MARK YOUR CALENDAR and come on out for a few hours on either or both events and make CFPA proud!

If you have any questions please contact Antoinette Braga at Volunteers@cfpainc.org.
