Description: In this course, students will learn about the elements of color and design through several fun projects.  We will explore the world of two-dimensional art through theory and technique, as students are encouraged to experiment as much as possible!  They will learn to express themselves through the elements of design such as line, shape, texture, value and color, and will have fun with a variety of mediums, including ink, acrylic paint, and collage.  This class is a wonderful foundation for students who are interested in art, and will help them better appreciate the beauty of the world around them.

Standards: Participation in class discussions will be expected, and students will be required to set aside time during the week to work on their projects at home.
