Curriculum: Kids Knitting by Melanie Falick- optional
Homework: Daily practice at home- minimum 1 hour per week. Knitting projects
to completion.
Materials / Fees: none
Description: All levels welcome. Beginners will learn the basics of knitting
and purling before moving on to other intermediate skills such as increases,
decreases, yarn overs, picking up dropped stitches and reading patterns.
Advanced knitters will learn cabling techniques, more complicated stitches,
advanced patterns and garment making. Students will work at their own pace
and will receive help in selecting projects appropriate for their skill
level. Students will be encouraged to knit for others.
Standards: Patience, perseverance and a good attitude are a must! Students
who come to class willing to learn and then go home and practice will earn
an outstanding. Project completion will be highly encouraged.
