Curriculum:
No particular curriculum is used. A continent, country, or
region is covered each week. We use a variety of resources to help the
students explore the world: books, maps, souvenirs, music, art, and when
possible, guest speakers.
Homework:
Minimal to none
Course Description:
We want students to love world geography! As the children learn
about continents, various countries, and regions we want them to see how
they can be a part of God's plan to show His love around the world. We seek to expand their confidence in oral skills as they share in class and give their two country reports. Hands-on activities and games will be used to keep it interesting and fun!
Materials/Fees:
None
Standards: Pay attention and participate in class.
Prepare and present two oral reports using the guideline of one fact per
year of age: a nine year old wil present nine facts.
Supplementary activities are offered between classes if the student desires to explore a topic further.
