Curriculum: Various books.  Getting Kids to Write!, If you're trying to teach kids to write...you've gotta have this book, and others that inspire me along the way.

Homework: yes.  less than a page per week

Materials / Fees: none.  But students will need a notebook to be used solely for the purpose of writing class.

Description: A fun romp through the wonderful world of writing.  We will discover our writing voices through games, word plays, improv, and, of course, writing.  This course will touch upon poetry and scene writing, but mostly focus on short stories and writing tools.  This course is designed to bring fun and joy to the writing process.  Students will work on their beginning drafts in class; then, work on their stories at home.  Reading of their finished work will be encouraged, but not mandatory.
