Curriculum: Filmmaking For Teens - Pulling Off Your Shorts 2nd Ed., by Troy Lanier & Clay Nichols

Description: Video Production is a product-based, hands-on elective class that focuses on creating short movies. Students will learn tips and techniques from pre-production through post-production including: brainstorming, screenwriting, scheduling, storyboarding, sequence animations, lighting, audio, trade terminology, set design, acting, shooting, and editing. Hands-on application of these skills will be reinforced through learning modules provided by the instructor. Cooperative groups will be the main work pattern for the class.

 

Standards: This course will guide students in filmmaking: writing, producing, directing, and editing by walking them through the production process from concept to completion.
