We developed the Ultimate Switch for people who have limited movement. It works with the slightest touch and anything can set it off, even your chin. It has a spring release so you aren't pushing against a hard surface; there isn't tension when you activate it. We developed this product almost 15 years ago for a client who was paralyzed from the neck down. This client was able to move his head slightly from side to side. We developed a head switch on a gooseneck that was easy to activate with the slightest touch. This switch was able to mount on a wheelchair, table-top, bedrail, or basically anywhere! One of our goals was to make this device convenient and easy to operate. We also made sure it was durable and flexible so any body part can strike it. Our client loved the finished product and effortlessly activated the switch. He connected the switch to a scanning communicator which enabled him to communicate with his family and caretakers.
