Simple communication is what the Talkables are all about. Great for transitioning from using icons alone. The Talkable line of communicators have a simple-to-use format so that individuals can easily make two, three or four choices to request their needs. They also feature built-in icon holders so users can see a picture of their choices. The four different styles can be used in progression - starting with just two messages, then three and four.

The Talkables were developed after working with a client who could only communicate by pointing at icons. His therapists wanted him to progress to using an augmentative communicator. However, the communicator needed to be simple enough to enable him to make the transition from paper icons to a speech generating device. So we created the Talkable II with a built-in icon holder so the client would still have the familiar icon in front of him and his therapists could teach him to press the switch to play a message. His therapists report that he has had great success in using the Talkable II.
