Temporary Fosters Needed During Puggerfest

Gail needs temporary fosters for 15 pugs for a few days before and after Puggerfest. Fostering will be from Sunday the 23rd until October 2nd. Please help save Gail from having to keep 15 pugs in her hotel room! Fill out the foster form or contact Gail at homewardboundpugs@cox.net for more information.

Ad and Tribute Space Still Available in the Puggerfest Program Guide

Advertise

Would you like to advertise your business to over 2,300 dog owners for $100? You can do just that with an advertisement in the Homeward Bound Pug Rescue Puggerfest program guide!

Not only will you receive a print ad in our booklet, but the ad will be posted on our very active Facebook page with more than 2,300 fans all over the United States. We are expecting more than 600 attendees at Puggerfest this year, so this is a great opportunity to increase your clientele. You can submit and pay for your ad all at one time here.

If you have a special love pug you want to pay tribute to in our Puggerfest program guide, you can submit and pay for your story here.

Sponsors Needed

There are still sponsorship opportunities in the following categories: Curliest Tail Contest, Food and Puggerfest King and Queen.

Sponsorships help us pay for the prizes awarded to the winners of the contests as well as park decorations and food.

Individuals or companies can sponsor an event. Every sponsor will be listed in the brochure and at the event itself. There are partial sponsorships available as well. You can fill out our sponsorship form

Puggerfest

Volunteers Still Needed

We certainly could use your help! There are plenty of ways to volunteer, so if you can spare even a few hours, please fill out our volunteer form. We especially need people who are willing to arrive at 7 am to set up the park or people who can be there at 4 pm to break down the tables and tents, and clean up after the event ends. You don't have to volunteer all day, we want you to have time to enjoy the event and browse the auction items too!

*If you know any Girl or Boy Scout troops who can help, it is a great way for them to earn badges and service hours!

Hotel Information

For those of you

attending from out of town, we have a block of rooms reserved at the La Quinta Inn airport location at 800 S. Meridian. Rooms are either Queen or two doubles and the rate is $59 a night. Ask for Joey in group sales at 405-942-0040 to book under Puggerfest. Do NOT go through the central reservation office. Ask for Courtyard rooms, no upstairs.

For those of you staying at the hotel, we will have a get together in the courtyard after Puggerfest. There will be an x- pen for the pugs, pizza for the humans and everyone can relax and catch up with friends.

Silent Auction

There are more auction items than ever this year and we are making it easier to bid. The auction begins at 10am and ends at 3:30pm.

We are still graciously accepting donations for the auction. Remember, more items donated means more money for the rescue! You can mail items for the auction to:

Raffle

We are very excited about the Puggerfest raffle. There will be a Kindle Fire, Acer laptop
with case and iPad! Raffle tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25.

You can still enter the raffle even if you can't attend Puggerfest! We will gladly mail you the prize if you win. You can also purchase tickets in advance. Payment is check only, no PayPal accepted. Please make the check out to Homeward Bound Pug Rescue, write "raffle" in the memo and mail it to:

King and Queen of Puggerfest

How would you like to have your pug crowned King or Queen of Puggerfest? Just look at these royal puggies and the prizes they won last year! There will be a drawing to determine the winners and the King and Queen will each receive a gift basket with more than $300 worth of puggerful prizes! Tickets are $1 each or $5 for 6. The more tickets you buy, the better your chance of winning.

Kid's Zone

The Kid's Zone is bigger and better than ever this year. We have a beanbag toss and prize wheel, sun visors and bandanas to decorate, and a face painting booth. There are tons of great prizes to give away too! Tickets are $1 each and can be used for anything in the Kid's Zone.

There will be plenty of fun activities to keep your kiddo occupied while you relax in the park or browse the auction tables.

Pug Costume Contests

We will have prizes for Best Individual Costume and Best Group. Also, this year we are adding two new categories: Best Tropical Costume and a Swimsuit contest (1st place pug boy and 1st place pug girl.)

Pug Races
Is your pug faster than Usain Bolt, or at least faster than a speeding snail? Enter your pug in the pug races to compete for prizes and bragging rights. Take a look at last year's races to see how exciting (and funny) it is to watch these little guys run the course:

Pam Case

Pam Case is an animal communicator who has an uncanny understanding of animals and their people. Her intuition and animal communications skill has helped many an owner have a greater understanding of their pet. Sessions are $20 for 15 minutes and half of the proceeds will go to Homeward Bound. You may schedule prior to and on the day of Puggerfest, allowing one pug per session. Appointments are limited and can be prescheduled by emailing Pam Case at pamcase8@cox.net

Pet Photography
For just $15 you can make your day at Puggerfest a day to remember with a keepsake photo of your pug from Imagine If Photography.

T-Shirts

$20 each, $22 for 2X and $24 for 3X

If you cannot attend but would still like a shirt, shipping is $4.00. You can also purchase one and pick it up at A1 Pet Emporium or from Gail in Norman. You can order via PayPal account homewardboundpugs@cox.net Please note the size when you are ordering.

Food
Lunch is from 11:30-1:30 and is $5. Cost includes hamburger, veggie burger or hot dog along with chips, cookie and a drink. All additional drinks are $1.
