 Dear Low Down Listener,

 

Mike Lane from Empire Distributing has delivered an excellent collection of European wines for Tuesday's wine dinner.  As Mike was explaining his selections I asked him what was his inspiration behind them.  He replied, " Old World (European) wines tend to be a Sommelier's darlings in that they pair well with food.  Additionally, these wines are higher in acidity, lower in alcohol with more fruit flavors not masked by the use of heavy oak." 

 

Reservations have already been made and space is limited.

She Crab Soup -
Traditional Low Country soup with sherry and fresh Local Crabmeat.
 
Spicy Fried Oyster Salad -
Fried Oysters tossed with hot sauce and served with blue cheese and hearts of romaine.

 

Salmon Provencal -
Grilled Salmon finished with tomatoes, red onions and olive oil served over saffron rice.
