Low Country Low Down

Dear Low Down Listener,
This year our family is excited to have the opportunity to showcase delicious food and celebrate special occasions with your family and friends.  Thank you always for your support!
Wine Dinners 

New to Mr. P's Bistro this year, Chef Gin and Chef Steve will be creating wonderful culinary experiences that will highlight their talents.  We will be teaming up with wine experts from Windham Distributing to pair the perfect match for these Low Country treats. Cost per person is $60.00 which includes 4 courses with wine tastings and gratuity.  January 18th's Dinner will be a Low Down Listener exclusive.  Everyone will receive their first wine bottle purchase at half the cost.

January 18, 2011 Menu 

Frisee Salad dressed with a Roquefort, toasted walnuts and a sherry vinaigrette.-LaMarca Prosecco

 

Fresh crabmeat and crepes with a tomato coulis and fresh chives.-Apothic Red Blend

 

Hazelnut and mustard encrusted grouper with a Frangelica reduction. Sides include whipped sweet potatoes and asparagus tips.-William Hill Chardonnay 

 

Black and White Pudding.-Moscato

Featured Recipe
Hot Backfin Crab Dip
 

3 lbs. Softened Cream Cheese

 

1 Cup Shredded Chedder CheeseCrab Dip

 

1 Cup Sliced Green Onions

 

1 tsp. Granulated Garlic

 

1/2   Cup White Wine

 

1 lb. Crabmeat-picked through

         to eliminate shells

 

Paprika to taste

 

In mixer blend cream cheese, cheddar, green onions, dill and garlic.

 

Add White Wine then gently fold in crabmeat.

 

Place in baking dish and sprinkle with Paprika

 

Bake 350 oven for ten minutes.

 

Serve with toast points, garlic bread or crackers.
