 A Launch Update from Sylvia Boorstein Dear Friends in the Dharma Near and Far, I wish you all could have been able to personally participate in the event on August 7 celebrating the inauguration of the Sangha of Thousands of Buddhas. It was a beautiful example of the power of our community coming together to support our founding vision. Many dedicated Spirit Rock supporters made the commitment to share as equal partners in funding a core piece of our Spirit Rock campus. The event took place in our beautiful upper meditation retreat hall which was completed a decade ago thanks to the generosity of many of you who joined the first Sangha of One Thousand Buddhas campaign. Remembering 9/11: Ten Years Later
| On this anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, we offer a look back at the responses of teachers Jack Kornfield and Sylvia Boorstein at that time.
In addition, Debra Chamberlin-Taylor and poet Kim Rosen will be offering a day entitled The Heart That Holds It All: Poetry and Meditation on Sunday, September 11 from 9:30 am-5 pm. On Monday, September 12, Jack Kornfield will lead the Monday Night Class from 7:15-9:15 pm.
