With one basketball game left to play, I can't help but look back at the beginning of the season.  I can honestly say that this basketball season has met my son's expectations (and ours), that it was fun and that being Team Mom for a basketball team has got to be the easiest sport to be a Team Mom for.  My only regret was that I waited too long to order banners for the kids - they would have loved them.  We had the best parents cheering in the stands week after week and great coaches.   I hate to see it all end.  After our last game we will have our team party and regardless of how many games we've won or lost, our kids won't care and that's a good thing; it means they just had fun!!

What made you decide to coach basketball?

After years of playing basketball I built up enough experience to be able to pass it on and growing up, my father coached a majority of my sports teams which brought about the idea of me being a coach when I came of age.

Did You Know?

Flag football is played with six to nine players on a team in which tackling is not permitted.  Instead, defensive players must pluck a flag from the ball carrier's belt to stop him or her.

Team Mom Tip

Keep the politics of "bad calls" and adult situations away from the ears of the players. Children don't need to see confrontations.
