| TeenForce Report |
December 15, 2011
|
Greetings!
This special newsletter is directed just to the teens that have worked for TeenForce this year. There are 103 of you, and we want to thank each of you for your contribution to our organization. You might remember from orientation that you help promote the TeenForce brand with every work shift and we are happy to say that the results are almost 100% positive.
We know that not every assignment is a "peach" and we don't have enough assignments for every teen that we meet. But, we hope that most of you have gained some valuable experience from your association with TeenForce and that it will help you in your job searches down the road.
We wish you a very happy holiday season. Please read below for a roll call of our top working teens of the year and also a few ideas on how you can help us promote our program. Your good work and positive feedback will help us help you and other youth next year.
-Elly, Nancy, Elana, Danielle and John

Please share your story:
There are three things you can do to help us out a bit. Please consider one or all...
- Go to www.Guidestar.org and write up a short review about your experience with TeenForce. You can either mention what you are gaining from your current assignment, or perhaps discuss how your TeenForce experience helped you gain a new position.
- Go to our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/teenforce and make a similar post. If you are really good, there is probably a way to post at Guidestar and then just share it to Facebook.
- Like us on Facebook. We can always use more friends!

Skills training that leads to jobs....
We are working hard to offer more skills training classes next year. We have two on the calendar for January:
- Trader Joe's is offering an introduction to grocery jobs. Please contact us if you are interested in attending.
- We have a terrific 8 hour class scheduled (four sessions over four weeks) that will teach social media marketing skills. This will be taught by a local professional and "graduates" will learn very practical skills that should translate to work opportunities. We have six slots. Please contact us for details.
- We will typically post new opportunties on our Facebook page. Please make sure to "like" us there so that you see our postings on your newsfeed.

About Us
TeenForce is a self-sustaining non-profit organization that helps teens (ages 13 - 20) gain work experience. We provide work readiness training, skills development and job placement services. Our staffing agency model makes it convenient and cost-effective for employers to hire teens and generates revenue to support our activities.
Teens in our program gain confidence and skills, while improving adult/teen relationships. Teens become healthy, caring and responsible young adults who have important roles in the community.
We are located at 101 Church Street, Suite 19 in Los Gatos. We are open Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.
