| TeenForce Report |
November 11, 2011 |
Greetings!
Welcome to the latest edition of the TeenForce report. Our teen workers logged nearly 2000 work hours in October, marking our fourth consecutive month around that benchmark. We are pleased to have more than tripled our activity since last spring. We expect a modest slowdown in November, but are hoping for a number of seasonal retail jobs to help us close out the year with a bang.
Please forward our newsletter to businesses or residents who you feel might be able to use some teen labor during the holiday season. Or, use the buttons at the top to post if to your Facebook page.
Thanks for your continued support and have a Happy Thanksgiving! -John Hogan |

Client Profile: Home Care Assistance
 | | TeenForce employees staffing a table at the Farmers Market! |
We are pleased to highlight our newest client, Home Care Assistance, who is doing great work in our community. Their core business is providing high-quality, in-home, non-medical senior care. They recently asked TeenForce to help them with a community oriented project called Passionately Pink for the Cure ® in an effort to fight back against breast cancer. Our teens staffed a table at the Farmers Market to help raise funds and promote good health. Shadi Gholizadeh, business operations manager, said "The TeenForce teens were both very mature, helpful and a joy to spend the day with! We look forward to working with TeenForce on additional projects in the future." |

Focus on Seniors
One of our niches at TeenForce has been assignments where teens work closely with seniors. We have a number of senior clients that have teens helping out around the home with a variety of indoor and outdoor projects. And, we have been very fortunate to work with residents at The Terraces of Los Gatos in a number of ways that help both the youth and the elderly.
We want to remind you that these services are available and might be particularly helpful around the upcoming holiday season. Please see this flyer for more information on the type of help that our teens can provide. You might even consider offering the services of a TeenForce teen as a gift to someone who can use an extra pair of hands around the holidays. |

Planning for 2012
As we look ahead to next year, we are focused on building on our Los Gatos foundation, while also moving aggressively to provide work opportunities to youth throughout the county. We are excited to be working closely with a number of youth and workforce-related organizations such as:
Please take a few minutes to check out the great work these groups are doing to prepare our youth for the workforce. |

About Us
TeenForce is a self-sustaining non-profit organization that helps teens (ages 13 - 20) gain work experience. We provide work readiness training, skills development and job placement services. Our staffing agency model makes it convenient and cost-effective for employers to hire teens and generates revenue to support our activities.
Teens in our program gain confidence and skills, while improving adult/teen relationships. Teens become healthy, caring and responsible young adults who have important roles in the community.
We are located at 101 Church Street, Suite 19 in Los Gatos. We are open Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.
