Greetings!
 This report highlights an important event for youth in Los Gatos. Please read below about Jill's Ride For Hope. Your participation in this event (or donation to CASSY) will go a long way towards helping our teens prosper and develop healthy lifestyles.
Today also marks an important milestone for TeenForce. Two of our first four staff members are heading off to college next week and are wrapping up their roles at TeenForce for the summer. Catherine, who specialized in our marketing and promotions, including this newsletter, is off to the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Michelle, who helped with our original business plan and has handled our accounting, payroll and HR this summer leaves soon to start business school.
We are very proud of what they have done to help launch TeenForce and wish them both the best of luck in the future. |

 Fundraiser: Jill's Ride for Hope
A bike ride event for LGHS' CASSY
Jill's Ride for Hope is a bike ride event in honor of Jill Naber to raise money for LGHS' CASSY program on August 28. CASSY is a non-profit counseling service that specializes in helping teens at Los Gatos High School. The cost to participate is $40, which includes a t-shirt and BBQ lunch (hosted by the Los Gatos Lions Club) after the ride. Participants can choose from a 5 mile, 20 mile, and 60 mile bike ride but spaces are limited. For more information, please visit the event website or CASSY's website. Los Gatos Bird Watcher supports TeenForce
Los Gatos Bird Watcher has hired a TeenForce teen from Los Gatos High School to help with retail and organizational work. She is responsible for stocking shelves, assisting with inventory, and customer service. Co-owner Freddy Howell noted, "I would recommend TeenForce. It really has been seamless. I couldn't have found [her] without you. She is very pleasant and a hard worker." Their store specializes in bird feeding and bird watching equipment, and is the best local resource for nature lovers. About Us
A teen for every job and a job for every teen!
TeenForce is a non-profit organization developing Los Gatos and Monte Sereno youth through skills training and on-the-job work experience.
We accomplish our mission by operating a temporary employment agency exclusively for teenagers. This model makes it very convenient for local businesses and residents to hire pre-screened and eager teens for temporary and part-time assignments. We handle all the paperwork, tax filings, and insurance. All that you need to do is provide the opportunity!
We are located at 101 Church Street, Suite 19 in Los Gatos. We are open Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. |
