District 5300 Business Plan Competition

Join us Thursday, May 17, Noon, at Altadena Town & Country Club for the District 5300 Business Plan Competition. We urge you to get club members involved with local high school ROP/CTE classes. Many of these teachers need assistance in reviewing business plan financials. Your business-savvy club members can speak to the classes about their personal experiences as entrepreneurs or business owners. The entrepreneurs of tomorrow are sitting in our classrooms today, and you may be able to plant an entrepreneurial mind-set in them. Junior Achievement has been conducting classes with volunteers since 1919. For more information, contact C. Ray Carlson at 1-800-448-3456.

Wheel Chair Project distribution in Hermosillo Mexico

Schedule your travel today!

Congratulations District 5300 for contributions in excess of $75,000.00, which has resulted in a Matching Grant, allowing 3 containers of wheelchairs to be delivered to Mexico this year. While we were unable to schedule a March 2012 distribution, we are excited about the June 13 - June 16 distribution of 2 containers in areas surrounding Hermosillo and San Carlos. The third container distribution has not yet been scheduled.  Local clubs are providing all ground transportation. Travel arrangements have been scheduled through Fanda Travel with excellent rates for flights and hotel.
