DISTRICT LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENTS

Schedule Your Travel to Hermosillo Mexico Today 

 

Congratulations District 5300 for contributions in excess of $75,000.00, which has resulted in a matching grant, allowing 3 containers to be delivered to Mexico this year. While we were unable to schedule a March 2012 distribution, we are excited about the June 13 - June 16 distribution of 2 containers in areas surrounding Hermosillo and San Carlos. Local clubs are providing all ground transportation. Travel arrangements have been scheduled through Fanda Travel with excellent rates for flights and hotel. To schedule your travel; or for questions regarding travel, please contact Robert Bridel or his assistant, Jodie at 702-256-2872.

GSE Trip to District 2450 Cancelled

 

The Group Study Exchange trip to District 2450 (Egypt, Jordan, Dubai) has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. The leadership of District 2450 expressed gratitude for the generosity and kindness demonstrated by Rotarians of District 5300 when hosting their Team in spring 2011 and have invited District 5300 leadership to attend their District Conference May 18-20 in Amman, Jordan.  Former GSE leader Adrienne Cox will be representing our District at the conference. 

Club Reminder - Attendance Reports Are Due for February

 

Attendance reports are to be submitted via the District website at www.district5300.org. Reports are due by the 15th of each month for the previous month. It would be appreciated if those Clubs with past due reports, please submit them as soon as possible. Thank you! District Administrator Proposals Sought

 

The Board of Directors of Rotary International District 5300, Inc. announces the distribution of a Request for Proposals for the part-time position of District Administrator. The RFP and Scope of Services will be posted March 31st on the District website. The position, to be filled by an independent contractor, will be for 25 hours a week, to manage a real or virtual District office. The position is open to anyone living or working in District 5300 with the required skills and abilities, and we encourage Rotarians to apply. Proposals are due April 20.

The Provisional San Gabriel Valley New Generation Rotary Club Is Looking For A Few Good Men And Women!   

 

Calling themselves 'the new face of Rotary', this young enthusiastic group of professionals from the west San Gabriel Valley communities of Pasadena, Alhambra and South Pasadena is asking you to join them Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m at Frontera's Mexican Grill and Cantina, 118 West Main Street, Alhambra. They are now just a few more potential Rotarians away from submitting the application to charter with Rotary International. Recommend someone you know that lives or works in the area. - or come by for a make-up meeting!

Las Vegas Fremont Rotary Block Party

 

Join us Friday April 27 in the heart of old downtown under the Fremont Experience as we "Celebrating Rotary, Las Vegas Style".  From 6 - 10 pm we will be dancing to the music of the Wedge Brothers and celebrating our Club's contributions to our community. $50.00 will get you in the door, along with dinner and a couple of drinks. Las Vegas Southwest Rotary Gold Raffle

 

Held annually, the raffle is open to all Rotarians, spouses, friends, and business associates over the age of 18.  Gold raffle tickets sell for $100 each for a chance to win gold coins valued up to $10,000.00. Winners do not have to be present to win. The event also hosts a silent, live eBay auction.
