Membership Minute
An excerpt from RI Membership Minute February 2012 Edition
What would our clubs look like if we invited every former Rotaractor, Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar, and Youth Exchange student to join Rotary? Hundreds of talented, dedicated, and energetic young men and women participate in these Rotary programs annually. Yet, less than 3 percent of program alumni are Rotary members. Take a moment to find the program alumni in your city and invite them to your club. "We recognized them as exceptional young people - even spent time and money to educate and send them to other countries as Rotary ambassadors. Aren't these the very people we want as Rotarians?" asks Rotarian Judi Beard-Strubing. |
Second Annual Business Plan Competition
Thursday, May 17, 2012 12:00
Get involved in imparting your experience and business-savvy to high school youth in your community by teaching them entrepreneurship and how to write Business Plans based on their own ideas. Choose the best four or five plans and have these students make presentations as your club program, then select the best of their Business Plans for entry in the District competition. This is a great program for publicity in local media and for involving others in your community as instructors, then inviting them to become Rotarians. For more information, contact C Ray Carlson at crayc@me.com. |
Put Polio on Ice - March 30, 2012
Join your fellow Rotarians for the fourth Annual "Put Polio on Ice" Night at Citizens Business Bank Arena, Friday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. For more information, and tickets, contact Foothill Communities Rotary member Michael Criscione at 909.941.7838. |
