ROTARIANS IN ACTION 2011
DGN wish comes true
Making Wishes Come True

Travis, an autistic 22 year old with a mother battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer wanted only one thing for Christmas...a ventriloquist doll. Rotarians from Glendora, Rancho del Chino and the newly-chartered Greater Chino Hills Rotary club raised over $900 to make this Christmas wish come true. Within the week, Rotarians from Vegas to Pasadena jumped in to help. On Christmas eve, DGN Miles and Teresa Petroff, with the help from XAG Gordie Norman playing Santa Claus, and Pres-elect Robert Basile surprised Travis with a certificate for a ventriloquist doll. As DG Doug might say, these Rotarians "got er done"!

We want to hear about your club projects and stories.  Send your pictures and stories to quicknotes@district5300.org
