HIGHLIGHTER WELCOMES NEW CLUBS TO DISTRICT 5300

Six new clubs are transferring into District 5300!  We invite you to submit articles of introduction to next Month's Highlighter.  September is Rotary's Membership and Extension month - a perfect fit to welcome new members to our Family of Rotary in District 5300.  Articles are due by August 15th (that's Monday). MEMBERSHIP TRAINING

***  GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE CORRECTION  ***

Last week we reported that the GSE interviews would be conducted on September 24, 2011.  The correct date for the interviews is September 17, 2011.  Please submit your applications no later than August 31, 2011 for those individuals between the age of 25-40 that can participate in a Group Study Exchange to District 4320 Northern Chile.  The exchange will occur March 17 - April 22, 2012.  Applications  and additional information can be found at:  http://www.district5300.org/gse/index.html.

TLC NEEDS YOUR COMMITMENT FORMS!

District 5300 Teen Leadership Camp (TLC) needs you to submit your Club Commitment form and mail all registration fees to the District 5300 Office by August 15, 2011.  We need your club support to ensure we have a successful Teen Leadership Camp on November 4-6, 2011.  Encourage your RYLA Alumni to come back as a Senior Advisor and to communicate to your members that all Rotarians are welcome to participate.  For more information and forms, visit the Teen Leadership Camp page on the website.  Contact, Julia Morse, can be reached via email:  h.morse@alaskausa.org or by phone:  760-963-8072.

FUTURE VISION IS NOW FEATURED IN ROTARY E-LEARNING CENTER

Did you know that the Rotary E-Learning Center has a section dedicated to Future Vision? It features 18 self-paced learning modules, which are wonderful learning opportunities for Rotarians new to Future Vision and great refreshers for the more seasoned Future Vision pilot participants. Topics range from a Future Vision overview to global grant applications to scholarships. Check them out, and share them with other Rotarians.
