Growing up in England, I have fond memories of nautical pub crawls - sailing along the coast, stopping each night in a new port.  And when I attended university in Tacoma, I had ready access to boats and water. Having been in and around many different ports, I can say that Puget Sound is a truly amazing place to sail. There are not a lot of places with such beauty that afford the opportunity to sail year round.

Since my first ocean crossing to Hawaii in 1996, I have discovered no greater freedom than chasing the wind across the great blue.  I have been very fortunate to sail all three major races to Hawaii: the Pacific Cup, Transpac, and most recently, the Vic-Maui International Yacht Race. Having skippered many coastal and trans-Pacific deliveries with a variety of crew, the Englishman in me finds nothing more enjoyable than introducing the thrill and delight of off-shore racing and cruising to newer sailors.

After having worked in boatyards, climbing masts, rigging sailboats and sewing sails, for the last five years, I am fortunate to have joined the Signature Yachts team.  If you want to mess about in boats, or if your goals take you past the horizon, please contact me.
