Community Conversation To Be Held At WPHS
April 7, 2011 (Thursday) has been selected as the evening to present information to the parents in the West Plains High School on selected topics of interest. Organizations that will be making presentations include Family Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Social Security Administration, MSU-WP, and the law firm of Ray and Fisher. Topics will include Medicaid, working with rehabilitation specialist, disability income, TRIO Program, and guardianship. The event will be held in the high school library from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
The purpose of this event is to improve communication between the school, parents, and organizations and to create a smoother transition from school into the community after graduation. Joe W. Davis, instructor at the high school is event coordinator. He may be contacted at 417-372-2963. There will be no charge for the evening. The school received a grant last year to improve transition services and the seminar was one of the approved venues for improving these types of services. |
