WPHS Veteran's Day Assembly
The West Plains High School will host its annual Veteran's Day Assembly on Thursday, November 11th at 9:Pam. This year, WPHS would like to invite all alumni who have served our country in any branch of the Armed Forces to join them for the assembly. If you are an alumni or know a Sizzler who has served, please contact Jim Laughary at jlaughary@zizzers.org so that we may recognize them. The speaker this year will be Mike Pace. |

Boys & Girls Cross Country Teams Advance to State!
Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams for winning their respective Sectional Championships Saturday in Camdenton. They now advance to the State Cross Country Meet in Jefferson City!! |
ABC Home Furnishings & Butler Floor to Ceiling Donate to 7th Grade Communications Arts Class
Recently, the West Plains Middle School 7th grade Communication Arts classroom was a recipient of a unique donation from ABC Home Furnishings and Butler Floor to Ceiling. The classroom received carpet squares for students to sit on during DEAR (drop everything and read) time. The Dr. Thompson and her students are very appreciative of the donation and are thankful for contributors like ABC and Butler.

WPHS Girls Golf
Recently, Kayla Temple and Emiley Odom advanced to the State Golf Meet at the Twin Oaks Golf Club in Springfield. Both girls competed well and represented WPHS with Zizzer Pride. The team overall had a great season this year. Congratulations ladies! |

Boy's Basketball Open Gym at WPHS
Boy's basketball open gym is offered at 7:00 to 8:00am every Tuesday and Thursday in the High School Gym. It is available to anyone interested. Official practice starts Monday, November 8th. Cuts will be made after practice Friday,November 12th. |
WPMS Fall Bonanza
The West Plains Middle School Student Council is sponsoring a Fall Dance on November 5, 2010 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the FEMA Building. This event is only open to 7th and 8th grade students currently enrolled in West Plains Middle School. Students from other schools, relatives/friends that do not attend WPMS, and high school students will not be allowed to attend. The dress is casual and the cost is $5.00 per student. |
