Wesley Woods Mother's Day Offering 2010
No more shall there be...old people who don't enjoy a full life, for one who dies at a hundred will be considered a youth. ISAIAH 65:20 At Wesley Woods, Isaiah's vision is our source of inspiration. More than ever, residents are reaching their 100th birthdays in good health, surrounded by the love of family, friends and our compassionate staff. In the future, many more who are now well into their 80s and 90s also will arrive at the century mark still enjoying the "full life" of which the prophet spoke. Providing fulfillment for the elderly is the purpose of Wesley Woods. Each day, the older adults who live with us prove that a full life does not require robust health, or a pain-free body, or a full bank account. Indeed, most have limited means, needing assistance to sustain their modest standard of living. Yet their lives are rich and full. This is largely because United Methodists from congregations across North Georgia give freely to the Mother's Day Offering. Each Mother's Day gift goes into our charitable care fund. These funds meet the financial needs of men and women in our nine retirement residences, the patients of our skilled nursing and specialized care facilities, and those who are served in Georgia's largest geriatric hospital, located on the Wesley Woods main campus. Thanks to your good heart, we are able to provide charitable care to many who need it. Your generous offering on this Mother's Day will be a "full life" blessing to the aging adults who count on Wesley Woods.
