Athens, GA -June 23, 2011--Nomad Artists, Packway Handle Band and The Melting Point will present The 3rd Annual Classic City American Music Festival on Sunday, July 3, 2011, from 1:00 PM until midnight at The Melting Point in Athens, GA. Located in the Foundry Park Inn and Spa at 295 East Dougherty Street, The Melting Point is one of the premiere music venues in the country, listed in the "Top 40 Best Music Venues in the U.S." by Paste Magazine.
The festival will feature acts from a variety of genres of music, including Americana, bluegrass, folk and southern songwriters, alternating between The Melting Point's indoor and outdoor stages. Doors open at 1: 00 PM, with music beginning at 3:00 PM. The festival is open to all ages. Advance tickets are ON SALE NOW for $15.00 until June 26th. Advance ticket price increases to $17.00 on Monday, June 27. Tickets are $20.00 at the door and $12.00 with UGA student ID. Children 12 and under get in for free! The festival will be held rain or shine.
