"We had such a great time this weekend. . . . I took my 21-year-old daughter, who just graduated from Troy University. She loved downtown Athens. I just wanted to thank you for the memories I made with her before she finds a job and leaves. It meant a lot to me. "

Volunteer Appreciation
Volunteers for the CVB, The Classic Center, Athens Welcome Center and Athens Community Council on Aging donned straw hats and cowboy boots for the annual Volunteer Appreciation Party on May 17 at The Classic Center. The hoe-down theme was a huge hit with attendees.

Athens Tech Culinary Competition
CVB Director Chuck Jones recently served as a judge in the first annual Athens Technical College Student Culinary Competition & Fundraiser. The Top Chef format proved to be both exciting and educational. Athens Tech student Austin Parrott has contributed an article about the competition here. |
