National Travel & Tourism Week:
In celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week and to encourage Athenians to become tourists in their hometown, the Athens Welcome Center and Classic City Tours offered complimentary tours of historic Athens May 12 - 14. Residents could choose from a 90-minute guided driving tour of Athens' historic districts and landmarks or a two hour and 15 minute tour of the interiors of Athens' four house museums. The tours were a great success; all were full and many had wait lists.
Scheduling note: The CVB's annual Hospitality Awards, which have been presented in May in recent years, will be awarded this year as part of our August Annual Meeting. |
