Have a little faith:  Neither rain, nor snow, nor gloom of night will keep The Classic Center from playing host!  As The Classic Center prepared for the February 12th arrival of one of its largest groups, the 2,000+ expected attendees for Festival of Faith, the Center also dealt with the arrival of snow.  CVB and Classic Center employees brought out the shovels and cleared the way for Festival of Faith attendees.  Now that's going the extra mile!

More March groups:  On March 4 - 6, Athens was pleased to host the largest Ga. Health Occupation Students Assn. (HOSA) convention in history, with over 2,100 attending.  Other student groups convening in Athens in March include: Ga. Technology Students Assn.; Ga. Family, Career & Community Leaders Assn.; Future Problem Solvers; and the UGA Honors Program.

New Booking:  The Georgia Council of Media Organizations (COMO) will meet in Athens Oct. 12-15 2010.  This group is projected to bring 1,000 attendees, 850 room nights, and $772,000 in direct  visitor spending to Athens.
