WELCOME TO THE 1st EDITION OF THE FUSION FOCUS! | | |
Greetings Fusion FC Families, Friends and Volunteers,
It's been a year and a half since Black Watch Soccer Club and the New Tampa Soccer Association partnered to form the Fusion Futbol Club of Tampa Bay. The merger is recognized as one of the most successful mergers of its kind in the state of Florida. While we are very proud of this accomplishment, we also recognize that we must continue to move forward and strive for excellence in our effort to continue to make Fusion FC the premier club for young athletes and their families. We are now at a point where we need to implement the next phase of the club's development and have turned to our members for help in identifying creative ways to get there. <Read On> |
| WINNING vs. DEVELOPMENT AND REGION C CUP | | by Jim DiNobile, Director of Soccer Operations
We have come to the juncture of the FYSA Region C Cup for many of our Fusion competitive teams that begins on February 25 for the u11-13 teams and March 5 for the u14-18 teams.
As coaches we talk about development and improving the play and understanding of the game for each player. In saying that, all coaches and players are mindful of winning the game. Most all players, no matter what their age, are aware of the outcome of the game with regard to which team scored the most goals and as a result, is declared the winner.
It is true that in order to develop, all players need to receive appropriate teaching and coaching at training (practices) with the idea that they take what they have learned during training and apply that on game day. <Read On>
