Youth Radio recently won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for Trafficked: A Youth Radio Investigation, which covered the sex trafficking of minors in Oakland. The Awards are administered by the Radio Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) in recognition of "outstanding achievements in electronic journalism." This is Youth Radio's fourth Edward R. Murrow Award.  The organization was last honored in 2010 for its investigative piece produced with NPR's All Things Considered, "In the Kennel: Uncovering a Navy Unit's Culture of Abuse," which helped to spark a top Navy review of how the reported abuses were handled.
