Tiger Rock Jacksonville has a new website!
The past few weeks have been very exciting for us here in the office! We have started a new website outside of the Corporate Tiger Rock MAI website that we all know. One of our own students, 1st Degree Black Belt Monica Brady has been instrumental in the development of the new site. Although it is not yet finished, the website shows great promise with an instructor bio section, news, special offers, calendar of events, class schedule and so much more. The most exciting feature is the Pro Shop. Here you will be able to shop online for all of the latest martial arts products that we offer and even have the items delivered to your door! If you wish you can save the shipping costs and pick up your items here at the academy!

TRAINING GEAR NEWS
 Sparring gear mesh bags, canvas bags in black and focus targets are currently on back order from three different companies. I am expecting to hear about our focus targets this week, As soon as the orders arrive, I will put out an e mail to that effect. We now have rebreakable boards on sale for $60.00 plus tax. This is a valuable piece of equipment that is required for board breaking students. Get them now at this price. In June the retail value will be $79.99

Student Volunteers Needed for Demonstrations
The Charity Bowl will be held on May 22nd 2010 in support of the Relay for Life. This is the first annual event of it's kind here in our city. The Jacksonville Spartans will be hosting a semi professional football game against our Camp LeJuene Bulldogs at 7pm.
There will be a family friendly tailgate party in the parking lot of Jacksonville High School in the hours preceding the game. We will be doing two demonstrations in the parking lot on that that day! We need volunteers to participate in the demonstrations. Please see a staff member or sign up on the clipboard in the lobby. We will also be doing a demonstration at the Carmike Theater on June 19th during the running of the new martial arts movie " The Karate Kid". Sign up in the lobby today with either Mr. Pavel or Mr. Pitt!!!

Dear Parents and Students,
This week's training emphasis is SPARRING. We will be getting ready for testing and sparring is an important part of our requirements. We will be training for endurance so that our students spar well for all of their rounds at testing!
We still need volunteers for the demonstrations that we have coming up. The Charity Bowl for the Relay for Life will be having a family friendly tailgate party and we have the opportunity to do a demonstration for that event. Also we will be in the lobby of the Carmike Cinema on June 19th to help the promotion of the new martial art movie "The Karate Kid". Testing will be held on the first weekend of June! Please get your private lessons scheduled today!
Parents and students are reminded to login to itaonline.com and make sure that their membership dues are current, so that they will be able to register for upcoming events. White Belt students and new Tiger Cubs will be pre registered. White Belt students have their memberships paid for the first 60 days. All other students must have their memberships current. Membership in the Tiger Rock Martial Arts, Inc allows you to participate in rank testings, tournaments, and gives you visitation privileges to all Tiger Rock franchised schools in the US and other countries.

 Testing for your next rank is only weeks away! We are planning on testing students according to the following schedule. Remember, ALL STUDENTS TESTING FOR THEIR NEXT RANK ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A PRIVATE LESSON PRIOR TO THEIR TEST. Please start making arrangements now with our instructors for your private lesson. The Academy staff can register you for testing now. Please check with the front office, register for testing, and pay your testing fees.
