This Week's Saturday classes 4/24/2010 will be the Annual Kick- A - Thon. Please participate in this fundraiser to Kick Out Cancer for our Relay for Life Team. The Kick-A-Thon will commence at 10 am and finish at Noon. We will have Tiger Cubs Classes from 9-10am.

Relay for Life Team
Our team is the TKD Cancer Kickers with Mrs. Anne Ashton as the team captain! In the coming weeks, Mrs Ashton will be bringing information about this event. If you would like to participate as a team member you may register online as follows:

The Onslow County Relay for life is to show everyone that cancer awareness is not always about
sickness and sadness.
We have a lot of fun at Relay. We play games all through the night.
We share a lot of laughter throughout the 24 hours we spend together.
Relay is a CELEBRATION of LIFE.
Relay is a time to REMEMBER &
REFLECT. Relay brings our community together to FIGHT BACK. Through events like
the Relay for Life, we are able to raise money to help fund
research, advocacy, education, scholarships, bring awareness and
hopefully, one day erradicate cancer. We Relay so no one ever has to
hear those horrible three words "You have cancer".
In the Tiger Rock spirit of Community, please help us in
this very worthwhile annual event!

Dear Parents and Students,
This week's training emphasis is SPARRING! We will discuss the three types of sparring in Tiger Rock TaeKwonDo and work on drills which will enhance your sparring, as well as escape skill drills for white belts, one step sparring for yellow belts, and three step sparring for blue belts. Level 1 Green Belt students and above, should ALWAYS be prepared to spar!
This Saturday's TAEKWONDO classes are a very special event that may be attended by all students.
We will be kicking away for two hours during our Annual Kick-A-Thon.
This event is in support of the American Cancer Society and the Onlsow County Relay for life. We are using this fundraiser to promote awareness of the fight against cancer in our community. We will have Tiger Cubs at the regular times for 9-10am.
Parents and students are reminded to login to itaonline.com and make sure that their membership dues are current, so that they will be able to register for upcoming events. White Belt students and new Tiger Cubs will be pre registered. White Belt students have their memberships paid for the first 60 days. All other students must have their memberships current. Membership in the Tiger Rock Martial Arts, Inc allows you to participate in rank testings, tournaments, and gives you visitation privileges to all Tiger Rock franchised schools in the US and other countries.

Kick-A-Thon to Kick out Cancer!
 The Tiger Rock TaeKwonDo Academy will be hosting a Kick-A-Thon to raise funds for our Relay for Life Team. Participants will assemble at the Academy at 10 am on Saturday, April 24th. They should bring with them their Kick A Thon packets with their donations and pledges. This will be a fun filled two hours that demonstrates our teakwondo tenet of community! There will also be board breaking opportunities for those students who have obtained Board Breaking pledges. Come join us immediately following the Tiger Cubs Classes on Saturday! This will count as a class attendance! We will have prizes for the student who obtained the most pledges/donations and also for the student who does the most kicks!
If you have not picked up your Kick A Thon Packet...do it today!!!

TIGER ROCK WORLD TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIPS

The schedule of events for the Tiger Rock World Championships and Black Belt Camp are now posted online at www.itaonline.com or in the Tiger Rock News which is available in the lobby of the Academy. All Registrations for these events are to be completed online using your unique member id and password. If you do not know your member id or password, please see Mr Ashton or a staff member and they will be happy to help you!
Tiger Rock Martial Arts International has made discounted rooms available at the Jackson Marriot for only $99.00 per night! This is a great savings and another benefit of being a Tiger Rock Member!
