Greetings! Glory, the dictionary defines it as splendid, beautiful, bright, brilliant, superb, dazzling, delightful, wonderful, marvelous grand, excellent and on and on!! Where can we get this wonderful experience called glory?
Glory rises each morning often before we do... is ever present throughout the day as the mountains sit majestically, the flower unfolds delicately and the bird sings joyfully... and ends each day, sometimes in technicolor, sometimes in a subtle slip in the evening sky... but always present day in and day out.
So why do we often miss it and go about our day with a sense of unrest and burden? I'm not sure but I know one thing, today I will open my eyes to the glory around me each and every moment of this day. I will most likely have to remind myself to linger in the smile of a child or the warmth of a brief hug or the soft rustling of the leaves because the pressures of the day cry out for my attention and the dinging of my text messages grab my attention. Today I will purpose to focus on the glory around me more so than my to do list and my worries... and I will probably need to post this brief note on my bathroom mirror to remind me to do it again tomorrow!
