Greetings!
As Chicktime continues to grow, we celebrate and give all glory to God. It seems quite remarkable and to be honest miraculous to some that doors and hearts have swung open to make all of these Chicktime groups possible.
But not to me. I can literally SEE a Chicktime group in every community across our nation. Why? There are children everywhere in need of the touch of their Father's love... and women everywhere searching for a way to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
So celebrate with me the love that abounds in our world. Celebrate with me the provision of God as women everywhere walk in His wlll and fulfill the purpose He has for our lives. And celebrate with me this Chicktime tool that has been made possible by God alone.
Joyfully,
Lori Rhodes Chicktime Founder
P.S. If you have ever had someone in your life that gets on your nerves, especially in the body of Christ, let me share this scripture with you. "As followers of Christ we are intimately connected in the Spirit. We are each a living staone connected to other living stones, and God keeps working on us until we fit together!" 1 Pe 2:5

Chicktime Cooking for a Cause
|
In March we will be baking cupcakes for a new restaurant opening in Gruene. Every Friday will be dedicated to 'Cupcakes for CASA'. Please tell all of your friends about this new adventure in Gruene! Let's get the word out about CASA!
Cooking for a cause is available to do family meals with a bit of notice... for you or maybe even for a friend you would like to 'treat'. Our home cooked meals are a great way to 'bless' someone you love who might be recovering from an illness, too busy to cook, or just needs a little reminder of how much they are loved! And remember, 100% of our profits are donated to local children's charities.
To learn more about CASA visit their website at http://www.casacentex.org/

The Chicktime InCourage moms and daughters celebrated Valentine's Day with a fabulous progressive dinner! Appetizers and uplifting "Praise-a-thon" started at the Juricas, we continued at the Erhardts with a mexican feast and the girls were presented with a surprise gift - a love letter from their earthly fathers while also contemplating the unending love of their heavenly Father! We wrapped up the evening with dessert at the Elmendorfs and a laughter and eye-opening round of "The Mother/Daughter game" (a take-off on the Newlywed game). Many thanks to all who participated and attended!
The group is planning an outing to Laser Quest in the near future!
Chicktime InCourage is designed to bring moms and their freshman
daughters together in fun and fellowship to strengthen our
relationships and those of our peers.
To contact us email Beth Ann Erhardt erhardt5@aol.com.

Fundraising update:Complete! Thanks to the generosity of Chicktime donors and through the Make A Difference gala benefiting New Life, the girl's new furniture is on the way! Thanks to everyone who participated!!! Goal: raise $43,000 to replace flood damaged worn out furniture in the 30 bedroom New Life cottages Status: Raised $43,000
New Children's Home and possible Name Change:
The leadership of Chicktime New Life visited St. Judes Ranch in Smithson Vally this past month and it is on our heart to design programs and bring Chicktime to St. Judes! We are praying for a leader to emerge for this new adventure and to find out who would like to receive invitations as well as lead monthly Chicktime events at St. Judes. These children are not in treatment and have many more freedoms than the New Life girls have. They are also hungry for spiritual care which is currently not a huge part of the St. Judes experience. If you would like to learn more, contact Jennifer Clarke at todjen@gvtc.com
Once we integrate St. Judes into our Chapter, we will need to change our name to reflect the populations we serve... so if you have an opinion, please share! lori@mlrhodes.com We are currently considering Chicktime New Braunfels as we pull many volunteers from New Braunfels and the surrounding community.

What is Chicktime National
|
Chicktime, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) public charity. With the new Chicktime groups forming, it is important for all members to realize there is a 'parent' organization that each Chick belongs to as well as her local Chicktime Group! We have decided to refer to Chicktime, Inc, the umbrella for our non-profit status as Chicktime National. Chicktime Inc. is our official name... but that is oh so boring!
This is important because in addition to the individual Chicktime group events, Chicktime National will also hold quarterly events as a way to introduce the idea of Chicktime to new friends and to provide opportunities for ALL the Chicks to come together.
Our conversations at the national events always seem to boil down to a common theme... the intrigue that so many women in one room share a common vision! Chicktime National offers a mission or leadership trip each spring, a summer retreat just for fun, as well as our national conventionuld in the fall.
|
|
Chicktime is a grass roots movement meant to support and encourage women living on the wild side, pursuing their passions with gusto. It is our belief that if each woman on the planet right now takes her place we can together accomplish the phenomenal.
