AccuFACE celebrate its 2-year anniversary at the Macau International Airport
 Prior to 2010, the 600 staffs at the Macau International Airport have to use RFID and magnetic swipe card system for time & attendance and access control application. Magnetic swipe card may damage easily and replacement cost is high. It also creates security threat if the card is lost or stolen. High security location such as airport requires a robust, reliable and secured system to do time & attendance management and access control. Hence, the airport operator of Macau airport has selected AccuFACE facial recognition system and deployed the system throughout Macau International Airport in March 2010.
Over the past 2 years, AccuFACE adds values to Macau international airport in different ways:
- Reduce time card theft, cost savings to the company
- Employee satisfaction with the fast attendance and access control system
- Improve access control security and employee sign in/out process efficiency
- Reduce the workload and simplify work process at HR and accounting department through accurate attendance reporting
- Allow IT department to easily control multiple AccuFACE systems from one central location

AccuFACE's NTP Server Function for accurate date/time synchronization
A reliable and accurate notion of time is important to biometric system, especially system uses for access control and time & attendance. Synchronizing system date and time for multiple systems is time-consuming and difficult to do. The new "NTP Server" function of AccuFACE is designed to simplify the system date/time synchronization process and make it fully automated.
Network Time Protocol (NTP) is a protocol for synchronizing the clocks of computer systems over a network. The NTP Server function allows user to easily direct his AccuFACE to a NTP server (time server) for date/time synchronization. User simply enters the NTP Server name and time zone in the time page and AccuFACE would connect to the NTP Server and update its system date/time automatically.
With this function, setting system date and time for multiple systems is easy to do and fully automated.
