AccuFACE's Batch FTP Function for Efficient User Template Transfer

Uploading/downloading large amount of user facial templates to/from a biometric system is time-consuming and may slow down the system operation. The new "Batch FTP" function of AccuFACE is designed to address this issue.

Why do you need the Batch FTP function?

 AccuFACE LowRes

(1)   Automate and streamline the user facial template transfer process

  • The template upload/download process could be run automatically without the supervision of system administrator
  • The transfer is done in the background. Hence, it has minimal impact to user interface and system operation

(2)   Reduce administrative error

  • It is possible to make administrative error (e.g. select a wrong user, typo) while entering user template info to the system, especially large amount of user templates has to be handled. Creating a list of user template in advance allows administrator to check and verify the accuracy of the data

Batch FTP function is available in the latest version of AccuFACE firmware. For additional info, please consult with your reseller or PSP Security. Details of this function are described in the AccuFACE user manual.

From time to time, we have seen cases which employee reports privacy intrusion to authority and employer have to cease the use or even remove the biometric system.

Based on market research, many users believe it is an intrusion to privacy if their personal fingerprint and iris data is being collected by the employer. It is because fingerprint and iris data is usually associated with police and criminal.

More users feel comfortable to have their facial data collected by the employer. It is because...(Read More)
