PSP Security has supported automatic facial learning function in all of the AccuFACE ® facial recognition product lines.

 

It is normal that the appearance of our faces change with age. Our muscle tone may be lost, causing a sagging appearance. The condition of the skin may change and aging lines may appear. Gaining or losing weight could also change our facial appearance.

 

Existing facial recognition systems in the market do not have facial learning functionality. As a result, the changing appearance of registered users may slow down system authentication speed and increase the false rejection rate. Eventually, user has to re-enroll. To many organizations, frequent user re-enrollment is not preferred because it consumes time and resources.

 

 

How It Works

The working principle is that AccuFACE would perform vigorous comparison between current user facial features and enrolled user facial features. If certain matching criteria were met, current facial features will be synthesized with the existing user facial template. In other words, AccuFACE learns user face every time user uses the system. With this technology, AccuFACE can maintain a fast and accurate authentication despite the changes in facial characteristics. 

 

PSP Security carried out field testing at a number of installations including an international airport. As the automatic facial learning technology is proven effective and reliable, We decide to incorporate this improved feature in all AccuFACE models.
