October 2010

Greetings!

We are excited to announce the finalization of plans for our first annual Patient Workshop to be held on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas. You will find details: the program, location, registration, hotel reservations, cost, payment, workshop brochures, etc. on the CIRCLE website page titled 2011 Patient Workshop.

You may also request more information by sending an email to patientworkshop@chronicillnessrecovery.org. If you know of anyone interested in recovery from chronic illness who is not aware of CIR, please let them know about our services and this workshop.

We realize the great need for this type of gathering and we're excited to meet you and share what we know about inflammation therapy.

We will also host a seminar for physicians and other medical practitioners on Saturday, Feb. 19. Please print out the seminar brochure available on the website page titled 2011 Physicians' Seminar and take it to your doctor. S/he may not be on our mailing list and we want all interested persons to know about this important first event.

Warm regards,

Therapy Tip
Inflammation therapy causes varying
degrees of discomfort duautumn roade to the unavoidable Herxheimer reaction. The motto "no pain, no gain" is relevant but patients need not endure extreme discomfort. CIR has discovered techniques to reduce herxing, relieve suffering and improve the quality of life during treatment. Not relieving intolerable symptoms may be detrimental to the healing process and could make it impossible for patients to continue on the road to recovery.
About Inflammation Therapy
If you've heard about inflammation therapy or decided you'd like to try it, you may be wondering how to learn more or how to get started.
  1. It's important to become informed because this treatment requires a high degree of self-direction. Read the articles in About Inflammation Therapy. They're available to the public and provide information to determine if you're a candidate for this treatment and to decide if inflammation therapy is something you'd like to try.
  2. If you don't already have one, you'll need to find a supportive doctor. If you need help locating a doctor who will prescribe inflammation therapy, see Doctor Search Suggestions or desk worksend an email to us for a list of potential medical practitioners.
  3. Ongoing support and information can be crucial to success because inflammation therapy must be tailored to individual patient response. If your doctor is not familiar with the management of inflammation therapy, to ensure your safety and improve the chance of a successful recovery, we highly recommend that you enroll in the CIR counseling program. See CIR Brochure.
Patients enrolled in our counseling program have access to our private Library of Information with over 140 articles about managing inflammation therapy, including the Physician's Guide to Inflammation Therapy. This guide contains details about Benicar dosing and the antibiotics (which are prescription medications) used with inflammation therapy.

If you don't wish to enroll in our counseling program and would like to read the details of inflammation therapy management, including information about all the medications used, you may obtain access to our private library (see this sample page). You will need to send your doctor's name and fax number or email address to to CIR so your doctor can be notified that you have access to this information about adjusting prescription medications.
