Beer-Stein Holding Contest - Masskrugstemmen - Finals
Regional Finals - 15 Contestants of Round 1-3 will compete for the Regional Championship.
Regional Champion wins a trip to New York City (including round trip airfare and hotel accommodation) to represent the American German Club Palm Beaches in the 2nd Annual National Championship "Masskrugstemmen" on September 25, 2010n held at the "German-American Friendship Party" on Stage in Central Park after the 53rd Annual German-American Steubenparade.
"Masskrugstemmen," which translates loosely to the lifting of a liter mug of beer,
is a well-known and a competitive Bavarian sport.
The "Masskrug," a 1 Liter Stein is held with one arm, completely stretched out and parallel to the floor.
The goal is simple: To hold a filled stein as long as possible! NOT A DRINKING CONTEST
No Cover Charge, Doors open at 7pm - Contest starts at 9pm
"DJ 1-Twelve" will play a mix of music, Several Beers on Tap, Domestic $3, Imports $4
