Recently I've been reminded of how much I need Easter. In addition to preparing for Easter, Seabreeze staff has been working hard to complete all the tasks to keep Seabreeze church moving forward. I cannot imagine your life is much different; busy and full of complex situations. It is in this busy and complex environment that I am reminded of how impure and imperfect I am. I can forget that a task is not more important than the person carrying it out. I can get overwhelmed by it all. I can forget that the outcome is in God's hands and not mine. Truth be told, we are all impure and imperfect.
In contrast to us, God is holy and perfect, pure from any fault. In 1 Peter 1:15-16, it stat:s; "But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'" Living a holy life is impossible left to ourselves. In fact, our impurity and imperfection broke our personal relationship with God.
We need Easter to restore our personal relationship with God. It is through Jesus Christ that we can be reconciled to God and experience a new life of love, hope, and peace. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Easter, God's expression of His love for us, has again reminded me to love people, to keep the faith, and to leave the outcomes to God.
How many people do you know who need a new life filled with real love, hope and peace? I encourage you to invite them to Easter at Seabreeze. Then maybe over time, and at their pace, they will come to personally know the love of God through the power of His resurrection!
Blessings this week,
