JacksonGrand Rapids, Cincinnati Standardize on ConnectNow Church Accounting

Implementations are already underway in both the Diocese of Grand Rapids (Michigan) and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati (Ohio). Grand Rapids aims to have 96 parishes and schools live on the new ConnectNow Church Accounting system by July 2012. In Cincinnati, they're working to bring all 232 parishes and schools onto the new system in phases between now and July 2013.

ConnectNow offers both organizations a way to streamline processes, get accurate financials at any time, and create an environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration.

What's really exciting to hear is how enthusiastic parish staff are about ConnectNow! Chris Rauch of St. Charles Borromeo in Kettering, Ohio, said, "ParishSOFT rose above the competition and met all the requirements that the team established. I can't wait to begin using ParishSOFT at St. Charles!"

Diocesan Development Manager

(ConnectNow & Desktop)

DDM continues its steady migration from desktop to the new ConnectNow Web platform, and in the process, we're adding a host of great new functionality to help you track donations and do comprehensive reporting for parishes, donors, staff, and development directors.

With release v3.7.37, all functionality for configuring funds and for parish collaborative reporting is available on the Web. Here's what's available today on ConnectNow DDM:

  • appeal codes and lockbox controls managed by fund
  • default date settings
  • enhanced batch controls
  • new payment management tools
  • enhanced integration with Online Giving
  • comprehensive parish collaborative reports
  • enhanced permissions for reporting and data entry
  • parish goals setup, with "replicate from prior year" feature

Our plan going forward is to migrate all DDM functions to the Web via ConnectNow. For details on and instructions on using the latest updates, please see the 3.7.37 Release Notes.

Safe Environment Program Manager (SEP)

We've updated the SEP utility to support the import and processing of SEP files containing multiple requirements and statuses from different SEP vendors, such as LexisNexis and Virtus. Your mapped requirements can be saved as custom templates to accommodate future changes and updates to your SEP data files. For details and instructions, please see the 3.7.35 Release Notes.

AIM Family Directory, Diocesan Directory, IQ

In AIM Family Directory, you can now select a member's religious affiliation, edit family workgroups, view a family's other parish associations, and much more!

In Diocesan Directory, you can now give an organization a shorter "Display Name" that frees up real estate in your reports, and users can be granted two new AIM IQ permissions for "View" and "Edit" access to database queries. Our new data model allows staff to use the new Secure Information Area (in Diocesan Directory) and then query information in that area from within AIM IQ. It's all detailed in the 3.7.34 Release Notes

For your parishes: ConnectNow Family Suite

TSSpring Parish Technology Seminars

Get more time for ministry

Would you like to help parishes in your dioceses learn about ParishSOFT? Why not host a Parish Technology Seminar!

Designed for parish staff who are thinking of making a change to new software, attendees will learn the best practices that are helping other Catholic parishes use technology to save time, while efficiently managing faith formation, sacramental records, scheduling, and communications. They'll see a demo of the parish suite, and we always have great sharing of the latest technology trends and practical ways to minister more effectively in the parish office.

The seminar is available in two formats: onsite, in-person meetings at a host parish/diocesan site or online using GoToWebinar. To arrange a seminar or user group event for the parishes in your arch/diocese, please give us a call at 866-930-4774 x1.
