ConnectNow Accounting eFiling, Updates    

On Wednesday December 14, we'll be updating the ConnectNow Church Accounting system and delivering these great enhancements directly to our users:  

• New 1099 tax forms
• New electronic filing for W-2s and W-3s
• New Wage Type options for the State Unemployment Report  
• New option to search by fiscal year for bills and checks
• New date range reports available for Statement of Activities and Dedicated Accounts, as well as the "Consolidated" versions of these two reports. 
• New Firefox 3.6 and above supported for Mac users; and enhanced support for PC users on Firefox 6.0, IE 8.0 and above
• and many more!

Easy as Pie:  1099 and W-2 Reporting

1099s and W-2s are as easy as pie when you plan ahead with these simple steps: 

1. Determine now who should receive a W-2 or 1099 now so you can anticipate your filing volume.  
2. Verify that you have a correct TIN and mailing address for each recipient. If not, gather that info now, before the year-end rush. For more on TINs, visit the the IRS website. 
3. Confirm that you've made all required tax deposits thus far to the IRS and state agencies. Make any missing deposits ASAP to reduce penalty and interest liabilities.

If you're using the ConnectNow Church Accounting, use the e-filing service built right into your software when you're ready to file. You can file all of your forms with the IRS and SSA and have recipient copies printed and mailed out for you. It's so easy that your filing requirements can be met before you would normally even be starting to think about them.
