UCConference 2011 More Than Just Software. . .a Spiritual Retreat!

Last week, more than 200 of our parish and diocesan users, including 27 priests, gathered in Anaheim, California, for our fourth annual conference. Attendees told us they learned a ton in our workshops and training classes, and they loved that our conference is about so much more than the nuts and bolts of the software.

"It felt like a spiritual retreat!" is the comment we heard time and again. With morning Mass and sessions focused on stewardship and engagement, it warms our hearts to know Church staff got far more out of our time together than they ever expected.

EOY1099sEasy as Pie: 1099 and W-2 Reporting

Diocese of Amarillo1099s and W-2s are as easy as pie when you plan ahead with these simple steps:

  1. Determine now who should receive a W-2 or 1099 now so you can anticipate your filing volume.
  2. Verify that you have a correct TIN and mailing address for each recipient. If not, gather that info now, before the year-end rush. For more on TINs, visit the the IRS website
  3. Confirm that you've made all required tax deposits thus far to the IRS and state agencies. Make any missing deposits ASAP to reduce penalty and interest liabilities.

If you're using the ConnectNow Church Accounting, use the e-filing service built right into your software when you're ready to file. You can file all of your forms with the IRS and SSA and have recipient copies printed and mailed out for you. It's so easy that your filing requirements can be met before you would normally even be starting to think about them.
