Kubotek Customers with KeyCreator Active Maintenance Contracts

Kubotek announces the availability of KeyCreator 2011 version 10.0.1 service pack release for customers with active maintenance. The 10.0.1 downloads are available now from the Kubotek USA  Kubotek Customer Support area. 

Issues Corrected

A small number of issues have been corrected in the 10.0.1 Service Pack release for KeyCreator 2011 version 10.0. To check which version is currently installed use the Help>About function in the KeyCreator pull-down menu.

The Service Pack release 10.0.1 includes:

• A change in format for database files used by the mechanical library components from DBF to CSV which solves 32-bit OBDC driver conflict problems with KeyCreator 64-bit.
• The 3D CAD data translator for the latest Parasolid 23 (read and write).
• The 3D CAD data translator for the latest Siemens NX 7.5 (read only, ST and SV license levels).
• Plus several fixes in IGES, the 64-bit install, and a few additional fixes.

Downloading KeyCreator 2011 version 10.0.1

Start by logging into the Kubotek Customer Support area (Customer Portal). Once logged in, select the DOWNLOADS option in menu on the left.  

Option 1 300-400 MB KeyCreator (Full Install) (400-500 MB for SV version)

The KeyCreator Full Install Version 10.0.1 can not be installed if 10.0.0 has already been installed on the PC. The previous version 10.0 program must be removed before using the Full Install (Use Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs).

Option 2  30-80 MB Service Pack - (Update Patch)

The KeyCreator Service Pack Version 10.0.1 will convert a KeyCreator 2011 version 10.0 installation into a 10.0.1 installation. Note the 10.0.1 service pack can only patch KeyCreator version 10.0 and cannot be applied to previous versions.

Additional Notes

32-bit and 64-bit versions are both available. The 64-bit version is recommended for users with CKD files or assemblies over 100 MB in size and adequate system resources.

The same set of install downloads are available from YouSendIt Hi-Speed Download and Kubotek USA Alternate Download links. The alternate download from the Kubotek USA server is provided for users with problems connecting to YouSendIt (possibly blocked by internal IT rules).

The separate 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the update patches must only be used on respective KeyCreator installs to avoid corruption of the install (ie. only use 32-bit patch on 32-bit install).
